Reason for learning Japanese

Want to go vocational school, University and graduate school in japan by study abroad visa.Although it is not the purpose of going on to higher education, I would like to study Japanese language for over a year after taking a study abroad visa.I want to learn Japanese to acquire Japanese only for short term stay period.
